The answer? A manual meat grinder
Yes! It was simply a traditional meat grinder. An appliance that had occupied an indispensable place in family kitchens long before the advent of food processors and pre-cooked meat in trays.
This meat grinder works with an auger: you insert the meat from one side, turn the crank, and the finely minced meat comes out through a metal grid. Simple, practical… and completely manual.
